Welcome to Sanctuary! By accessing or using our mobile application and related services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

1. Service Overview

Sanctuary is a gamified productivity application designed to help users focus through mindfulness and spirit collection. While we strive to provide a consistent and helpful experience, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available".

2. User Accounts

To access certain features, such as cloud sync and "Sanctuary Pro" content, you must create an account. You represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you will maintain the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Sanctuary offers premium features ("Sanctuary Pro") through various subscription models and one-time purchases.

  • Billing: Subscriptions are managed and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. You agree to abide by their respective terms and conditions regarding payments and refunds.
  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Cancellations: You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your device's account settings (App Store/Google Play).
  • Refunds: All refund requests must be directed to Apple or Google, as we do not have direct access to your billing information or the ability to process refunds directly.

4. Prohibited Conduct

By using the Service, you agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose;
  • Attempt to hack, destabilize, or reverse-engineer the Sanctuary application or its backend servers;
  • Circumvent any content-filtering techniques or security measures;
  • Engage in any automated use of the system, such as using scripts to unlock rewards or scrape data.

5. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including the app's design, code, artwork, spirit characters, and branding, are and will remain the exclusive property of Sanctuary and its licensors.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SANCTUARY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

8. Standard EULA

For users on iOS, your use of the Service is also subject to the standard Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), unless a custom agreement is provided.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the company is registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
